Valentine’s Day cards for Sunshine Mail Foundation

Today I have some Valentine’s Day cards ready for the Sunshine Mail Foundation. The foundation will send the cards along with other care essentials to kids who are in need of some comfort, warmth, and joy this winter season.

Sunshine Mail care packages are filled with handmade cards, care essentials and other age appropriate items. Then they are delivered to children in hospitals, homeless shelters, foster care and children facing medical challenges. The designers have been provided some adorable stamp images, this time from Red Rubber Designs, who manufactures deeply-etched, quality rubber art stamps. Our theme was Valentine’s Day colors; I did stick with the color theme on my first 2 Valentine’s Day cards, but I’m afraid to say I swayed from the color scheme on my last one, this time leaning towards a more masculine look, say for a teenage boy. I used their Furry Friends stamp images that they provided to us, and boy, were they adorable and fun to work with! I added color to the precious Furry Friends dog & cat stamp images with my Copic markers. Then I used different embellishments like American Crafts ribbon, various Stickles colors, and some Hero Arts Pearls & Gems.
