I have a cute birthday card featuring Lawn Fawn, for the DriveByCrafts blog today! I’ve always wanted the Plane and Simple stamp set, and I finally got it this month! I think the airplanes are so adorable! I decided to make it a birthday card with the plane pulling the banner (and you can put different sentiments in the banner – I love it!). The die I used to create the houses at the bottom is called Village Border. I die cut it out, then chose subtle Copic colors to color the different buildings and trees. I used a piece of paper from the Perfectly Plaid collection for the background base. Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
Today I’m featuring my first Reverse Confetti stamp! I have always loved their images, so when DriveByCrafts started carrying them, I was thrilled! This set is called Bearing Gifts; isn’t it just so cute? A bear driving a car! Hee hee! I stamped the image with Copic-friendly ink, and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. I chose to make the car slightly 3D by stamping the front end of the car again, coloring it, cutting it out, then mounting it with adhesive foam squares. I also stamped a couple of the trees and did the same thing. The patterned papers are both from Lawn Fawn petite paper packs: Knock on Wood, and Perfectly Plaid. I die cut them out using older Lawn Fawn stackables die sets. This set is just so cute, I can’t wait to use it again! Have a great day, and happy crafting!
Happy Wednesday! Today I’m using “old” to show off the “new” for Drive By Crafts!! All the stamp sets on these mini cards are older Lawn Fawn sets, but they look GREAT with Lawn Fawn’s new paper pad, Knock on Wood! These cards are 4 1/2″ square. All the stamps and all the dies I used are Lawn Fawn. The background skies were put on Ranger Watercolor Paper using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool. The colored images are colored with Copic markers. Thank you so much for stopping by! You can find these products that I used at the Drive By Crafts store!
Hello, Crafters! Today I have a Halloween card, and I had fun using stamp sets that really aren’t for Halloween! Well, the new sentiment set is, but the cute trick-or-treaters are from the Ahoy, Matey set, and the black kitty is from Bicycle Built for You! The sentiment is from the new Happy Happy Happy Add-on stamp set and coordinating die set. The orange scalloped frame and the brown scalloped frame are die cut with papers from the new Knock on Wood paper pack. The sky is created by rubbing Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink and Broken China Distress Oxide ink onto watercolor paper with my Mini Ink Blending Tool. Then I stamped the stars with Lawn Fawn’s Yeti ink and poured their new White Embossing Powder over them, then heat embossed them. And I could not forget my trusty stamp shammy to help me keep my stamps clean in between all the stamping! Thank you for stopping by; have a great day, and happy crafting!
The new Lawn Fawn For You, Deer products are totally adorable, and I’m featuring them today for DriveByCrafts! I am going to make a bunch of these bookmarks and hand them out to my coworkers for the holidays! Of course, these could also be gift tags if you use one of the other great sentiments in the stamp set. The adorable papers are from the new Lawn Fawn Knit Picky Petite Paper Pack. I colored the images with Copic markers. Aren’t the sentiments just so cute?! I absolutely love that this set has the animals’ back sides so that the backs of the bookmarks (or tags) are just as cute as the front! Have great weekend, and Happy Crafting!
Hello Crafters! Valerie here today! I’m on the Drive By Crafts blog today! This Lawn Fawn set, Bicycle Built for You and it’s coordinating die set, is just so sweet! This is the second card I’ve made with this set (the first one is here); it’s very vesatile and can be used for many different occasions. I created this nice everyday card featuring lots of Lawn Fawn:
- Road Border Cut Set
- Little Town Border Cut Set
- Let’s Polka in the Meadow Mini Paper Pack
- Stamp Shammy (LOVE this thing!)
Today I’m having fun stamping with Lawn Fawn’s Fab Flowers stamp set and a ton of their inks! I created a “Feel Better” card, and gave gorgeous colors to the pretty flowers using just Lawn Fawn ink pads. It’s so relaxing to just sit and stamp sometimes! The ink pad colors I used are in the list at the end of the post. After the flowers were stamped, I die cut them out using the dies from the coordinating Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Cut Set. The banner comes from Lawn Fawn’s older set, Bannerific; and the sentiment is from their older set, So Much to Say. The zig zag edges on blue horizontally striped paper are from Lawn Fawn’s Zig Zag Square Stackables. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a good day, and happy crafting! ~Valerie
Helloooo, crafters! I’m featuring a birthday card for Drive By Crafts, today! OK, I can not get enough of these adorable animals in Lawn Fawn’s Wild for You stamp set; each image is just darling! Now, if you know my design style, I love to combine stamp sets. So, for this card, I did just that so I could have a fun birthday party scene – I pulled in some other Lawn Fawn stamp sets: Elphie Selphie (& it’s coordinating die set), and two older sets – Let’s Play and Critters in the Jungle. The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored with Copic markers. I painted Zig Clear Wink of Stells onto all the birthday hats, and I painted Yellow Wink of Stella onto the candles’ flames. The light green grass and light blue sky are papers from Lawn Fawn’s 6×6 WaterColor Wishes paper pack. The front and inside zig-zag die cuts are from Lawn Fawn’s Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables set, and the grasses are die cut using Lawn Fawn’s Simple Grassy Hillside die set and one from their Meadow Borders die set. I am totally getting into sprucing up the imsides of my cards, too; just a little something goes a long way and it’s a nice final touch for your special card. Have a fantastic day, crafters! ~Valerie
If you’re looking for a cute, interactive birthday card, here is your answer! The Lawn Fawn Magic Color Slider is just too fun! I made a belated birthday card featuring the Lawn Fawn Hang in There stamp set and coordinating die set. Isn’t that fun?! I added a bunch of colorful Pretty Pink Posh 4mm cupped sequions to the frame around the image; you can see the specific colors I used in the Supply List below. Now I need to make a bunch more of these belated birthday cards because I’m always late getting my cards out! LOL 🙂 Have a great day, and thank you for stopping by!
Ahoy, mateys! I hope you’re having a good week! I just wanted to pop in with a treasure of a birthday card featuring Lawn Fawn’s cute Ahoy Matey stamp set and coordinating cut set. The images are colored with Copic markers. The background is created by rubbing two Distress inks (Antique Linen and Walnut Stain) onto white cardstock with my Mini Ink Blending Tools. I stamped the red X with Lawn Fawn’s Lobster ink. So that’s it for today! Thank you for the visit, and have a great day!
I was in the mood for a single layer card today for my post on the DriveByCrafts blog! And I did that with Lawn Fawn’s Wild for You set, along with a much older set of theirs, #Awesome! The wild animals in the Wild for You set are SOOOO CUUUUTE, and the sentimens in this set are for a bunch of different occasions. I chose to create a birthday card. I just love how the final image looks after you’ve “layer stamped” them all; I didn’t feel like getting my stamping mask paper out, so I just used stick-it notes and it worked perfectly! For the background, I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn’s Manatee ink, colored them with light colored Copic markers, then took my 0 Copic marker and ran it over all the images to lighten them up and give them a soft background look. In the sentiment, the word “Wild” is stamped with Lawn Fawn’s Pumpkin Spice ink. I hope I inspired you to do some single layer card making! Thank you for stopping by, and Happy Crafting! Oh yah! Don’t forget to check out the Clearance section over at DriveByCrafts!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by! Today I have a Condolences card for you, featuring Avery Elle’s Banner & Wreath stamp set and coordinating Ellements set. It’s the perfect set to have on hand because the many sentiments it has all address a bunch of different occasions (wedding, condolences, thank you, birthday, anniversary). I stamped the floral images, the birds, the sentiment, and the banner in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored them with my Copic Sketch markers. The brown straw wreath in the background is stamped with Lawn Fawns Walnut ink. I pulled out a trusty older Lawn Fawn die set, Stitched Borders, to create the stitch lines around the perimeter. And the scallops are done using Lawn Fawn’s Scalloped Rectangle die set. The final touch was adding a few Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow 4mm cupped sequins. Thanks a bunch for stopping by! Have a great weekend, and Happy Crafting!
Hi crafters!! I have a with a birthday card set featuring lots of Lawn Fawn (LF) today! I started out by stamping the adorable pinata image from the LF Year Seven stamp set 5 times and coloring them in different color themes with my Copic markers. Then I die cut them with the coordinating Year Seven cut set. All of the “happy” words are stamped using a stamp from the LF Happy Happy Happy stamp set and different LF inks (all shown in the supply list below)., and die cut with the coordinating die from the LF Happy Happy Happy cut set. The “birthday!” word comes from the same stamp set. The papers for the frames is from the LF 6×6 Watercolor Wishes paper pack. There was a lot of gluing in this project, and my trusty, always-go-to Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue worked perfectly as always! Thank you for visiting, have a great day, and Happy Crafting!
TGIF, Crafters! I hope you’ve had a good week! This is Valerie here today with some pirate birthday fun using lots of Lawn Fawn! The main feature here is Lawn Fawn’s new Ahoy, Matey stamp set; I had so much fun creating an adorable scene with pirates, a chest full of gold and diamonds, and a cute pirate’s ship and palm trees in the background! Then, I decided to enhance the birthday theme with a balloon and cake from the Elphie Selphie stamp set and coordinating cut set. The sand and background sky are created with applying distress ink onto Ranger Watercolor paper using Round Mini Ink Blending Tools. All of the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers. I finished the card by nesting the scene into a coordinating opening cut into a piece of patterned paper that comes from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Petite Paper Pack. Thank you for the blog visit! Have a great day, and a wonderful weekend! ~Valerie
How about that fabulous Lawn Fawn Summer Release?! I am loving it, and I bought almost the entire thing! Today I’m featuring both brand new and older Lawn Fawn (LF) sets; the “brand new” I have for you today is the cute mini set, Duh-nuh. There are also a ton of older LF products being used, and they are all listed in the Supply List at the end of the post. All of the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT Paper, and colored with Copics. I painted several of the images with my Zig Clear Wink of Stella, and added Glossy Accents to the fish’s air bubbles. The final touch was adding Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt cupped sequins in 4mm & 6mm. Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting, and stay tuned for Thursday, June 1st, when I’ll have a nice announcement to share!
I had to make 2 completely different cards yesterday; one for my friends who are Expecting (YAY!!), and one for my Aunt & Uncle who unexpectedly lost their daughter, my cousin; talk about complete opposites. And actually, you could say that the card making was actually a therapy for me, as I’m grieving my wonderful cousin that we have lost way too soon. Let’s start with the happy card! For this one, I pulled out a sweet old Lawn Fawn set, Plus One, and it’s coordinating die set. All the other dies used for this card are also Lawn Fawn; you can see them in the supply list at the end. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. The sequins are Pretty Pink Posh cupped sequins: Cornflower 4mm & Pink Blush 6mm. For my condolences card, I pulled out a favorite Altenew set of mine, Extra Special. It stamps beautifully, and the image is just so pretty. I stamped the purples with the inks from Altenew’s Shades of Purple ink set. The greens are from Altenew’s Tropical Forest ink set. Thanks for stopping by, and hug your loved one real tight <3
I am SOOO happy I ordered this set from MarkerPop, the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers stamp & die set! It is just SO pretty, and incredibly easy to work with; plus, look at the results! This card is also using the new & great-to-have-on-hand Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy stamp set, and the fun coordinating die set. ALL the inks used on this project are Lawn Fawndamental inks; they stamp perfectly, with such rich, crisp, bright color. You can see in the Supply List below all the colors I used. The dies used to get that fun zig-zag edge are Lawn Fawn’s STAX Zig Zag Square Stackables. I mounted each finished piece onto a square cut that was done with Lawn Fawn’s STAX Large Stitched Square Stackables. My finishing touches were adding a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Cupped 3mm sequins, and painting Zig Clear Wink of Stella on the butterfly. What a fun, carefree card to make. I highly suggest it to anyone wanting some light crafting with a beautiful result! This card will be sent to Altenew for their Celebrating Parents Card Drive!
I was THRILLED when I saw a couple weeks ago that MarkerPop (MP) is carrying Tombow Dual Brush Pens! You see, long, long ago, Tombows were the first coloring medium I ever used when I started stamping & coloring. I loved them then, but I stopped using them because Copics entered my world next and took over my heart, and also because MP didn’t carry them…BUT THEY DO NOW!! So this month’s Watercoloring focus gave me the perfect excuse to take out my Tombows again, and rekindle our relationship (lol)! Here’s a great video by Tombow demonstrating different ways to use these markers: For my card, I pulled out a lovely older Lawn Fawn set, Flutter By. I stamped the images with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink (available in this mini ink pads set) onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. There are many ways to color with these markers. For this project, I wanted bold color; so added the ink directly onto the paper, then used the Colorless Blender N00 to pull the ink out into the image which creates a lighter tone and shadowing effect. You can see this technique in this next Tombow video starting at 1:03: When I was done coloring them, I die cut the images out. I decided to make thIs card a Thank You card, so I used the Lawn Fawn Thank You Border die for the sentiment. I cut that sentiment 3 times and glued them all together using my Fine Point 1mm X-Press IT Glue Pen to create a “thick” sentiment for added depth. I mounted the sentiment onto a banner cut from the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners die set. The background paper is from My Favorite Thing’s 6×6 Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Paper Pack, and I die cut it using the largest die from Lawn Fawn’s STAX Scalloped Rectangle Cut Set. For some sparkle, I painted the butterfly with my Zig Clear Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Pen Marker. Then I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Cupped Sequins in 4mm, 6mm, and 10mm. I will definitely be using these markers again! FYI, you can get them in Sets of 10, or in singles. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope I’ve encouraged you to check these beauties out!
*****Don’t forget to enter into our Watercolor Giveaway this month! Check it out for all the deets!*****
Hi Crafters! Have you heard of Chibitronics?! Well, MarkerPop is carrying them! This system is where you use LED circuit stickers to build circuits and create little lights on your projects! Here’s their page explaining what’s possible. The following video shows how to complete a simple circuit; there are other videos on the above linked page, too. On my project I’m using Chibitronics for the first time; my project is very simple and basic; of course you can go detailed and all fancy, too. Here you’ll see my pencil sketch of where the light is going to be, and the path for the currents to the battery. And in the 2nd picture, you see me pressing the current onto the battery so the light will light up! Now the background current “stuff” is mounted onto the scalloped background piece. And then you can see the finished product in action! My project was part of a set I created; here’s my set and how I created it: This great My Favorite Things stamp set, Make a Wish, and it’s coordinating die set came out in August last year, and I finally ordered it last month! I pulled those 2 sets, some other MFT products, and some Lawn Fawn stuff all together, and I created a fun set of birthday cards! Now, after I show you these cards, I’m going to focus on one of them that has a special feature added to it; you’ll see that later! I stamped the candles and flames with different Lawn Fawn inks & MFT inks onto Bazzill White Cardstock, Then I die cut them with their coordinating dies. Next, I die cut the rectangular white background pieces with the largest die from Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Rectangular Stackables die set (and I also die cut the same shape from white foam). In those rectangular shapes, I then die cut the candles and flames into them to create openings. (and, OOPS, I realized later that I had die cut the flames in the wrong direction and had to do them all again… lol!) I glued a thin piece of white printer paper on the back of the rectangular shapes, and then glued the candles and flames into the openings. I glued the finished piece onto the white foam pieces. The scalloped rectangular shape is from the 2nd largest die in Lawn Fawn’s Scalloped Rectangle Stackables die set; the papers are from MFT’s Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots 6×6 Paper Pack. I glued the finished candle scenes onto the scalloped pieces. Next, I stamped the different sentiments onto Bazzill White Cardstock, and die cut them using my Mini Misti and dies from Lawn Fawn’s Everyday Sentiment Banners die set and their Extra Sentiment Banners die set. I added Ranger’s Crushed Pineapple Stickles to the flames to give them a glittery finish; and the final touch was adding Pretty Pink Posh’s 4mm & 6mm Clear Droplets. Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day, and Happy Crafting!
I can’t believe it’s time for another Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop! AND, it’s the Springtime one… yippee! I am SO ready for Spring 😉 I had the day off from work yesterday (a Sunday, which is rare!), so I relaxed and enjoyed creating this card for the Hop. It features an oober amount of Lawn Fawn products and the interactive part of it is My Favorite Things! All the products used are in the Supply List at the bottom of the post. Isn’t that fun?! Hope you enjoyed! Have a wonderful day, happy crafting, and happy coffee card hopping! ~Valerie
