OK, I am really getting into this Reverse Confetti thing! DriveByCrafts, I think you have really started something here! Today I am featuring Merry Christmoose; this holiday card is 4 3/4″ square.I stamped the background trees onto Copic-friendly paper, then stamped them again onto masking paper. I cut them out, covered up my trees in the scene, and created the background sky using Distress inks. Then I colored the trees. For the moose, I stamped him, colored him, and hand-cut him out with a white border.I have to admit something… when I went to stamp the cute sign image in the set, it was GONE! Yes, I had taken it out earlier, and somehow I lost it. I have looked EVERYWHERE (and went through my FULL crafting garbage can piece-by-piece, AND crawled around on my crafting room floor for a long time meticulously looking everywhere – ugh!), and it is lost. So, the cute scene on this card can still be adorable without the sign, but image how great it would look WITH it! So, my advice for you today is DON’T TAKE STAMP IMAGES OUT OF THEIR PACKAGING UNTIL YOU’RE READY TO USE THEM! LOL, thanks for stopping by!
I have a cute birthday card featuring Lawn Fawn, for the DriveByCrafts blog today!I’ve always wanted the Plane and Simple stampset, and I finally got it this month! I think the airplanes are so adorable! I decided to make it a birthday card with the plane pulling the banner (and you can put different sentiments in the banner – I love it!). The die I used to create the houses at the bottom is called Village Border. I die cut it out, then chose subtle Copic colors to color the different buildings and trees.I used a piece of paper from the Perfectly Plaid collection for the background base.Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
Today I’m featuring my first Reverse Confetti stamp! I have always loved their images, so when DriveByCraftsstarted carrying them, I was thrilled! This set is called Bearing Gifts; isn’t it just so cute? A bear driving a car! Hee hee!I stamped the image with Copic-friendly ink, and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. I chose to make the car slightly 3D by stamping the front end of the car again, coloring it, cutting it out, then mounting it with adhesive foam squares. I also stamped a couple of the trees and did the same thing. The patterned papers are both from Lawn Fawn petite paper packs: Knock on Wood, and Perfectly Plaid. I die cut them out using older Lawn Fawn stackables die sets. This set is just so cute, I can’t wait to use it again! Have a great day, and happy crafting!
When I saw this stamp set by Neat &Tangled in the Drive ByCraftsstore, I just knew I had to have it; it’s their new MerryKissesstampset, and I can’t get enough of these pretty foxes hugging eachother! Then, the flying bird and the mistletoe?! So perfect for a holiday card!I stamped the all the images on my paper with Copic-friendly black ink, then stamped them again onto masking paper (Post-It notes work good, too), and cut out the images. I covered up my stamped images on my final project sheet wuith my cut out stamped images, and took out my Distress Inks to create the background. When I was done inking the background, I then took out a snow stencil and covered my stamped & background-colored sheet of paper with it, and applied embossing paste to creae the snowy background. Then, it was time to remove the masking and reveal the images beneath (I love doing that part!); they were untouched and ready to color (which I did with Copics)! Then I applied the red frame around the scene to pull it all together. I was very pleased with the result! My final step was stamping the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card.Thank you for stopping by! Today I have some cheerfulness for you, featuring Paper Smooches’ products!I just LOVE this Pineapple 2die; it’s so cute, and when you put the sunglasses with it, it really makes me smile! The sweet sentiment comes from the Kindness Sampler stamp set. I stamped the red heart with Lawn Fawn’s Lobster Ink.The background is created using Distress Ink; I smeared some of the inks onto my craft mat, spritzed it throroughly with water in my Mini Mister, then put my Watercolor Paper into the ink. I was happy with it from the first “go”, so I stopped at this point. This was a sinple card to make, and I coud see making a bunch of these to keep on hand!Thank you for stopping by; have a great day, and Happy Crafting!

I colored the images with Copic markers.Aren’t the sentiments just so cute?!I absolutely love that this set has the animals’ back sides so that the backs of the bookmarks (or tags) are just as cute as the front!Have great weekend, and Happy Crafting!
Hello and Happy Monday; I’m here for the DriveByCrafts blog today! I have always loved the Best Buds stamp setby Paper Smooches; so I was so happy when they came out with the coordinating die setfor it! My card today is, of course, featuring that pretty set.First, I stamped the main images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with my Copic markers. I then die cut them out with their coordinating dies. For the background, I stamped the images with Lawn Fawn’s Manatee ink, and then colored them with very light colored Copics. After mounting the main images on the card, I added some Marshmallow colored sequins, and painted Zig Clear Wink of Stella on the banner.Hope you like! Have a great day, and a wonderful week!
How about some more Paper Smooches (PS)?! Yup, I’m featuring another one of their sweet die sets for the Drive By Crafts blog today! I created a shaker card using the PS Pineapple 2 die set; hee hee – a pineapple with sunglasses – I love it!The sentiment comes from the PS Kindness Sampler stamp set. The green paper and the frame were die cut with older PS die sets I have – Stitched Borders, and Frame 2. And the orange paper was die cut with Lawn Fawn’s older Large Stitched Rectangle die set. I filled the shaker portion with some clear sequins, and also glued some on the front. Then I painted some Clear Zig Wink of Stella on the purple sunglasses frame – too fun! This card didn’t take me very long, it made me smile the entire time, and I could see making a bunch of these to send out to the special people in my life! Thanks for joining me today, and have a great day; happy crafting!~ValerieP.S. Make sure you check out the Paper Smooches September Release Blog Hop!!! It’s GREAT!
Happy Tuesday! I’m here forDriveByCrafts today! The Kind Bear die from Paper Smooches is just so sweet; and I had a great time making three cards with it! I wanted to color the bear in 3 different ways, so you could see the difference in color mediums on it.All of the sentiments are from the Paper Smooches Kindness Sampler stamp set. This first one is just die cutting the image in different colored papers. I really do like the way this one looks, very clean and simple. For the second card, I die cut the image with Copic friendly paper and colored all the pieces with Copic markers. And on the last one, I die cut the image with watercolor paper and used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.Thank you so mcuh for stopping by today! Happy August 1st! Wow, I can not believe we’re starting August; time flies! I have 3 cards for you today that feature MFT’s cute stamp set & die set,Springtime Critters, for theDriveByCrafts blog! The first card is 4″ square, and the 2 smaller ones are 3 1/4″ square. The white frames are cut from MFT’s Stitched Square Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics set; we have a similar die set in the shop – MFT’s Stitched Square Scalloped Frames Die-namics.I colored the images with Copic markers. The background paper is an older set by Ken Oliver, the 6″x6″ Color Burst Splash paper collection. The grass in all 3 cards is die cut using the shorter grass die from MFT’s Grassy Fields Die-namics set.On the next card, the small butterflies are from MFT’s Once Upon a Time stamp set and Die-namics set. The fence is MFT’s Farm Fence Die-namics set. I painted Zig Clear Wink of Stella on all the butterlies on all 3 cards for a bit of sparkle. These cards were easy to make, and will be great to have on hand! Thanks for dropping by, have a good week, and Happy Crafting!~Valerie
Today I’m having fun stamping with Lawn Fawn’s Fab Flowers stamp set and a ton of their inks! I created a “Feel Better” card, and gave gorgeous colors to the pretty flowers using just Lawn Fawn ink pads. It’s so relaxing to just sit and stamp sometimes! The ink pad colors I used are in the list at the end of the post. After the flowers were stamped, I die cut them out using the dies from the coordinating Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Cut Set. The banner comes from Lawn Fawn’s older set, Bannerific; and the sentiment is from their older set, So Much to Say. The zig zag edges on blue horizontally striped paper are from Lawn Fawn’s Zig Zag Square Stackables.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a good day, and happy crafting!~Valerie
Helloooo, crafters! I’m featuring a birthday card for Drive By Crafts, today!OK, I can not get enough of these adorable animals in Lawn Fawn’s Wild for You stamp set; each image is just darling! Now, if you know my design style, I love to combine stamp sets. So, for this card, I did just that so I could have a fun birthday party scene – I pulled in some other Lawn Fawn stamp sets: Elphie Selphie(& it’s coordinating die set), and two older sets – Let’s Play and Critters in the Jungle.
The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored with Copic markers. I painted Zig Clear Wink of Stells onto all the birthday hats, and I painted Yellow Wink of Stella onto the candles’ flames. The light green grass and light blue sky are papers from Lawn Fawn’s 6×6 WaterColor Wishes paper pack. The front and inside zig-zag die cuts are from Lawn Fawn’s Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables set, and the grasses are die cut using Lawn Fawn’s Simple Grassy Hillside die set and one from their Meadow Borders die set. I am totally getting into sprucing up the imsides of my cards, too; just a little something goes a long way and it’s a nice final touch for your special card.Have a fantastic day, crafters!~Valerie
TGIF, Crafters! I hope you’ve had a good week! This is Valerie here today with some pirate birthday fun using lots of Lawn Fawn! The main feature here is Lawn Fawn’s new Ahoy, Matey stamp set; I had so much fun creating an adorable scene with pirates, a chest full of gold and diamonds, and a cute pirate’s ship and palm trees in the background! Then, I decided to enhance the birthday theme with a balloon and cake from the Elphie Selphie stamp set and coordinating cut set.The sand and background sky are created with applying distress ink onto Ranger Watercolor paper using Round Mini Ink Blending Tools. All of the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers.I finished the card by nesting the scene into a coordinating opening cut into a piece of patterned paper that comes from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Petite Paper Pack.Thank you for the blog visit! Have a great day, and a wonderful weekend!~Valerie
