How about some more Paper Smooches (PS)?! Yup, I’m featuring another one of their sweet die sets for the Drive By Crafts blog today! I created a shaker card using the PS Pineapple 2 die set; hee hee – a pineapple with sunglasses – I love it! The sentiment comes from the PS Kindness Sampler stamp set. The green paper and the frame were die cut with older PS die sets I have – Stitched Borders, and Frame 2. And the orange paper was die cut with Lawn Fawn’s older Large Stitched Rectangle die set. I filled the shaker portion with some clear sequins, and also glued some on the front. Then I painted some Clear Zig Wink of Stella on the purple sunglasses frame – too fun! This card didn’t take me very long, it made me smile the entire time, and I could see making a bunch of these to send out to the special people in my life! Thanks for joining me today, and have a great day; happy crafting! ~Valerie P.S. Make sure you check out the Paper Smooches September Release Blog Hop!!! It’s GREAT!
Happy August 1st! Wow, I can not believe we’re starting August; time flies! I have 3 cards for you today that feature MFT’s cute stamp set & die set, Springtime Critters, for the DriveByCrafts blog! The first card is 4″ square, and the 2 smaller ones are 3 1/4″ square. The white frames are cut from MFT’s Stitched Square Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics set; we have a similar die set in the shop – MFT’s Stitched Square Scalloped Frames Die-namics. I colored the images with Copic markers. The background paper is an older set by Ken Oliver, the 6″x6″ Color Burst Splash paper collection. The grass in all 3 cards is die cut using the shorter grass die from MFT’s Grassy Fields Die-namics set. On the next card, the small butterflies are from MFT’s Once Upon a Time stamp set and Die-namics set. The fence is MFT’s Farm Fence Die-namics set. I painted Zig Clear Wink of Stella on all the butterlies on all 3 cards for a bit of sparkle. These cards were easy to make, and will be great to have on hand! Thanks for dropping by, have a good week, and Happy Crafting! ~Valerie
How about that fabulous Lawn Fawn Summer Release?! I am loving it, and I bought almost the entire thing! Today I’m featuring both brand new and older Lawn Fawn (LF) sets; the “brand new” I have for you today is the cute mini set, Duh-nuh. There are also a ton of older LF products being used, and they are all listed in the Supply List at the end of the post. All of the images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT Paper, and colored with Copics. I painted several of the images with my Zig Clear Wink of Stella, and added Glossy Accents to the fish’s air bubbles. The final touch was adding Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt cupped sequins in 4mm & 6mm. Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting, and stay tuned for Thursday, June 1st, when I’ll have a nice announcement to share!
I had to make 2 completely different cards yesterday; one for my friends who are Expecting (YAY!!), and one for my Aunt & Uncle who unexpectedly lost their daughter, my cousin; talk about complete opposites. And actually, you could say that the card making was actually a therapy for me, as I’m grieving my wonderful cousin that we have lost way too soon. Let’s start with the happy card! For this one, I pulled out a sweet old Lawn Fawn set, Plus One, and it’s coordinating die set. All the other dies used for this card are also Lawn Fawn; you can see them in the supply list at the end. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. The sequins are Pretty Pink Posh cupped sequins: Cornflower 4mm & Pink Blush 6mm. For my condolences card, I pulled out a favorite Altenew set of mine, Extra Special. It stamps beautifully, and the image is just so pretty. I stamped the purples with the inks from Altenew’s Shades of Purple ink set. The greens are from Altenew’s Tropical Forest ink set. Thanks for stopping by, and hug your loved one real tight <3

This kit is so fun! Make sure you check out these 3 posts on the MFT blog that have more great projects featuring this set – here, here, and here! Have a wonderful day, crafters! ~Valerie
